Textile Arts Studio

I am a native Washingtonian and the mother of three daughters (one grown and married, and a set of teen-aged twins!) I have previously been a  teacher; a child-care center owner & director; a baker; a waitress, and a U.S. Navy flute and piccolo player! I am soon to begin the second year of a two year nursing program. Soon I'll be an R.N.!!!

I have been passionate about the textile arts for many years. My dad taught me to knit (left-handed) when I was four-years old. (Momma was out teaching a knitting class!) A few years later, I began my sewing career making Barbie clothes and clothes for my small troll-dolls! Years later, when my first daughter was in preschool, I returned to college to finish my degree in Clothing and Textiles. It was at that time that I began weaving, and started to re-explore knitting.

Textile Arts Studio unleashes my passion for working with textiles; allowing me to serve the needs of quilters and people who love quilts. Recently I have established a studio in the Artisan's Barn in Uniontown Washington, joining several other resident artists in an effort to involve people in conversation and classes about our various artforms. Please visit the Barn by clicking the link below:

Textile Arts Studio is located in Clarkston, a small community in Southeastern Washington State, near the confluence of the Snake and the Clearwater Rivers. At this time the studio is not open to the public, but quilts can be shipped to us (via FedEx , US Mail, or UPS). If you live nearby, or are traveling nearby, we can arrange to meet.

Textile Arts Studio is committed to providing machine-quilting to enhance your quilt. We endeavor to provide excellent service with a quick turn-around time. We believe our customers are our greatest asset, and we are dedicated to serving your needs.

At Textile Arts Studio, I do freehand machine-quilting , though I also enjoy using my "Circle Lord" (sort of like a Spirograph toy) to make circles of various sizes, spirals and stars.

I am able to create photo-memory quilts and custom quilts of any size. If you have an idea for a quilt, please email me. And, of course, I provide machine quilting.
